REPÚBLICA

SOBRE NOSOTROS

Born from a bold vision of VP (@just_v_p), Loubard transcends fashion to make it a true artistic and identity declaration. At the crossroads of art and personal expression, this brand is aimed at those who refuse conformism, visionaries in search of unique clothes that resonate with their souls. Loubard stands out by embodying the high-end in the world of fashion-street, with limited edition collections designed to illuminate the wardrobe of free spirits.

The choice of the name "Loubard" is not trivial. Once used in a pejorative way to refer to young people from disadvantaged suburbs, this word now embodies a new mission: to transform prejudices into light. In Côte d'Ivoire, under President Félix Houphouët-Boigny in the 1990s, the term referred to groups of muscular "mercenaries". By extension, he fed the local slang with the expression "It's loubard! ", which means "It's heavy! ". This linguistic evolution symbolises a cultural reappropriation, just as our brand seeks to reinvent the look at the suburbs and their talents.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to highlight the talents, abilities and stories of young people who are often stigmatised because of their social origin. Inspiring figures such as Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor in Togo or Kylian Mbappé in France prove that a label does not define a destiny. It is they, and those who resemble them, who motivate us to redefine this word and erect it as a symbol of power, pride and hope.

At Loubard, each garment is a piece of art, a position. It's a call to change the world, one outfit at a time. By carrying us, you are not just adopting a style, you are joining a movement that celebrates identity, diversity and human potential.

We are everywhere...a republic...citizens !
We are LOUBARD !
